DESCRIPTION:Professeur Burkan Isgor sera au département de génie civil de l’INSA en salle 217 pour une présentation intitulée “Putting thermodynamic modeling to practical work — applications ranging from concrete mixture optimization to reactive-transport modeling” (présentation de 45 min en anglais suivie d’une session questions/réponses). Pr. Isgor est actuellement à Toulouse pour la soutenance de thèse de Deeksha qui aura lieu le 21 novembre à 10h. \n\nBiography: Burkan Isgor is the Eric and Janice Hoffman Professor in Civil and Construction Engineering at Oregon State University. His research focuses on thermodynamic and reactive-transport modeling of cementitious systems\, thermodynamics-based concrete mixture optimization for performance and sustainability\, and electrochemical and computational investigation of corrosion in multiple scales ranging from atomistic to continuum. He is a fellow of Canadian Society for Civil Engineering and American Concrete Institute.
